February in Review

February was an exciting and busy month for our family.

Jude's first birthday party started the month off. It was a great party, despite the near blizzard that came through the day before. We're still trying to figure out what to do with all the toys he received. I think it's safe to say that we now have one of EVERYTHING! Thank you to everyone for your generosity.

Adam and Jonah took a trip to Florida the next weekend. They stay with Adam's parents at their winter home in Sebring, Florida. They spent a day at Disney, visited a children's museum and beautiful state park. Jonah still can't stop talking about the trampoline/bungee jumping ride. Below is a brief post about their trip. I am compiling the videos and pictures into a slideshow and hope to have that up in the next few days.

February wound down with an amazing reconnection with a long-lost friend from high school along with Jason & Kate's annual costume theme party. We dressed up as cowboys and had a great time. It was so nice to go on a date with Adam. We realized on our way to the party that we hadn't been on a date without the kids since February of 2009!

Jude's 12 month well-child appointment went well. He's tall (75th percentile) and thin (50th percentile) and healthy. He was discharged from the pulmonologist that same week. They say he is cured from the laryngomalacia. We have been warned to keep him away from germs as respiratory illness could still be dangerous for him. He is saying a few words too - "nonah" (Jonah), "hey there" and "dada." He loves to be chased by Jonah and to slober on our iPhones, which recently ruined Adam's and had to be replaced.

Jonah has been really loving Scooby Doo lately, which we fully support. Anything is better than Barney, Dora and Diego. I think he's feeling pretty cooped up with the weather. He begged us to ride his bike back and forth on the front porch last night.

Other details include that our house is still for sale but that we are also offering it for rent, I leave for a business trip to Vienna, Austria on Wednesday and we have to run over a large bump to make the heat turn on in one of our cars.

Hope everyone is well. Better weather is right around the corner, right?
