Roller Boots and Wings

Jonah received his first set of "roller boots" also known as roller blades. He is pretty dangerous in them but is slowly learning.

We also made a set of wings. We had so much fun decorating and making them. He finally got to put them on and then realized the sad truth...they wouldn't actually make him fly. So sad. He looked out the window and wondered why he couldn't fly like the birdies. It was pitiful.

Both boys are doing well. Jonah has been a bit of a pistol lately, as expected. The combination of being a new big brother and being cooped up in this house is getting to him. Jude is getting so big. He's already 9 1/2 pounds. He is a pretty decent sleeper and is super pleasant and mellow. He rarely cries except when hungry or taking a bath.

Being Lazy and Taking It Easy

Adam is taking 4 weeks off with me to help get adjusted to our new addition. It's so wonderful to have him home with us. I truly don't know how new mommies take care of 2 babies by themselves. It would be so stressful. With him home, we are able to nap, keep the house clean and do fun things with Jonah. But mostly, we just lay around and take it easy. If only life could be like this everyday!

Introducing Jude Nathaniel Pressel

Sorry it has taken us so long to upload pictures and make the new baby announcement. We have been trying to keep it simple these first few days.

Jude Nathaniel Pressel was born on Tuesday, February 3rd at 10:50 am. He weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces and measured 21 inches long. He is a beautiful baby and we are enjoying every moment with him.

We brought Jude home from the hospital on Thursday morning. Everything has been running fairly smoothly. The first night was pretty rough but last night was awesome. Hopefully tonight will be another great, restful night. Jonah is also adjusting well to the new addition, even better than we anticipated. Mostly, he doesn't pay any attention to Jude. Every once in a while, though, he plays and talks to Jude. It's really precious.
